IP PBX Basics
Server-grade Device: IP PBX provides VoIP clients (eg. IP Phone, FXS
gateway) with registration, SIP call proxy/redirection, call control, call
routing, etc.
Cost-Saving: IP PBX supports SIP trunk to ITSP for cost-saving call routes.
Full Functions as Legacy PBX: It also includes automated attendant, IVR
(Interactive Voice Response), voice mail system, and other value-added
functionalities to fulfill user’s needs that have been served by legacy PBX.
Pure IP Implementation: IP PBX is used for Greenfield to build a pure IP-
based communication platform.
Upgrade from Legacy: With built-in FXS ports, IP PBX is also good for
legacy PBX system to upgrade in the aspects of scale and functionality
